Your Support Makes Outstanding Care Possible

You can make a difference for patients by making a gift to Sibley Memorial Hospital. Your gift will ensure that we continue to provide the best care possible to our community by supporting lifesaving new technologies, continuing education for our dedicated caregivers, and innovative programs and therapies for patients.

The Power of Community 2023

See what Sibley Memorial Hospital has achieved over the past year thanks to donors like you.

Donors support more than a half-dozen cancer patient support funds including the Lids Foundation Fund and Patty?s Fund to help cancer patients in need with transportation, prescription medication, and food and housing assistance to better access their cancer care.

Sibley opened its brand-new, state-of-the-art intensive care unit (ICU) in 2023 to better care for our most acutely ill patients.

At present, Sibley has more than 160 cancer studies under way, including 95 therapeutic trials to advance cancer treatment options.

Sibley delivers more than 4,000 babies annually— more than any other hospital in Washington, D.C.

Nurse Navigator Ilana Velasquez and Patient Navigator Ariel Ford, whose positions are donor-funded, are working to better support cancer patients in medically under-served parts of our community.

Sibley continues to partner with local nursing schools through the Bridge Scholars Program to support need-based scholarships for nursing students as they transition to clinical practice at Sibley upon graduation.

Through grant support, the Johns Hopkins Kimmel Cancer Center at Sibley treats more than 2,500 patients annually, and Sibley's Proton Therapy Center is one of largest and most advanced cancer centers in the U.S.

Nurse Abdul Sheriff was hired as a geriatrics-focused resource nurse in the Emergency Department (ED) to better support Sibley's older adult population which comprises a large portion of our patients.
