SIBLEY MEMORIAL HOSPITAL FOUNDATION

In 2007, the Trustees of Sibley Memorial Hospital established the Sibley Memorial Hospital Foundation and incorporated it as a 501(c)(3) organization. A separate Board of Trustees was created specifically to oversee the foundation and its activities.

The mission of the Foundation is to:

  • Achieve financial results necessary to maintain leadership in the metropolitan area as the premier provider of community health care services with a reputation for high quality, personalized patient care; and

  • Communicate and promote Sibley's mission to customers both internally and externally.

The Foundation solicits contributions from the community and provides opportunities to participate in the progress of the hospital. Key components of the program include:

  • Annual Giving
  • Corporate and Foundation Grants
  • Major Gifts
  • Planned Giving
  • Special Events

Contributions provide access to innovations in medical science and technology, help patients with insufficient resources to cover the cost of their care, improve facilities, programs, and services, and support the highest possible quality of care through a dedicated and competent staff.

Funding priorities are based on the hospital's strategic plan and are communicated with Sibley's audiences. Funding needs are also reviewed through periodic meetings to check progress against goals.

The hospital and its foundation comply with all local, state, and federal regulatory requirements for nonprofit organizations.
