Patricia Liberatore was a volunteer art tutor, charity fundraiser and sports enthusiast.. Patty was the mother of two sons, David and Patrick Straub, and was dedicated volunteer at Landon School, the school her sons attended. During her professional career, Patty worked as a Washington public affairs specialist for 15 years She was a beloved member of the Washington community.
As a tribute to Patty, her husband Rob established The Patty Liberatore Fund to benefit cancer patients in need at Sibley Hospital. The Fund addresses a need about which Patty felt passionately – providing resources to cancer patients in need. Rob hopes that the many people who loved her would want to honor her memory by contributing to this cause which she endorsed before she passed away.
Patty received treatment at Sibley and was grateful to have excellent care in her community. In order to recognize her dedication to the community and in appreciation of her care, The Patty Liberatore Fund will assist individuals in financial need who receive cancer care at Sibley. The fund will assist patients in need to receive support for the costs of medication, transportation and medical and non-medical related expenses. As Sibley continues to grow our oncology program, the Patty Liberatore Fund will serve a very important role.
All contributions to The Patty Liberatore Fund are payable to Sibley Memorial Hospital Foundation and are tax-deductible.
