SIBLEY MEMORIAL HOSPITAL

Sibley Memorial Hospital is a 328-bed community hospital located in northwest Washington, DC. There are approximately 1.3 million people in Sibley's primary service area, which includes the District of Columbia, the Maryland suburbs, and Northern Virginia. In 2007, over 130,000 individuals benefited from Sibley's inpatient, outpatient, and emergency room services. These services included 12,447 inpatient admissions, 56,851 patient days, 29,935 emergency room visits, 11,746 surgical procedures, and 3,437 births.

In addition to the hospital itself, Sibley's campus also is home to Grand Oaks, a 104-unit assisted living residence; the Sibley Cancer Center; and The Sibley Renaissance, which houses the Center for Rehabilitative Medicine, Sibley Senior Services, The Sullivan Center for Breast Health, a 45-bed skilled nursing care unit, and a 32-bed residential Alzheimer's unit.

As a private, not-for-profit, full-service community hospital, Sibley offers medical, surgical, intensive care, obstetrics, psychiatric and skilled nursing inpatient services. The hospital operates a 24-hour Emergency Department with a full range of outpatient services. Sibley is recognized in the community as a major provider of surgical services.
